We had the unique privilege to march in Washington DC and advocate for our son, Owen, and all the other Americans living with cystic fibrosis. We met with our 2 senators and 4 of our representatives from Oklahoma. We advocated for access to affordable and adequate healthcare for everyone; no matter your age, race, income or preexisting condition
We were met with some opposition from a few of our representatives, who would like to appeal the affordable care act. Our goal is to bring awareness to our congressmen and women and let them know that we have 315 Oklahomans and 30,000 Americans that we need them to vote to protect.
All and all it was a very meaningful trip and we were so honored to be able to represent our Oklahoma families on Capital Hill.
